There is an unpleasant trend amongst the young of videoing abuse and humiliation of their less popular peers and forwarding it to their friends and social media until it goes viral. This idea is for an ‘interception app’ that can be downloaded by anyone which would use sophisticated AI to immediately identify these recordings and forward them to the nearest police station. There would be no stigma for students owning this app as it would forward abuse silently without any human intervention and leave no trace upon the app. It would also have an interface with video-sharing platforms such as TikTok and Snapchat where similar recordings can be intercepted and likewise forwarded.
Having such an app would deter students from making these videos if they knew that any of their peers might have a device that automatically bounces them to the nearest law enforcement!
